The artist, who doesn't know any French, did some very nice things. If you were to listen to all of this, you'd get the impression that there's something to the style. He also had some really beautiful quotes from the scene. I always thought what they told me was, "It is just that there isn't much of an artistic connection between the pieces themselves and the visuals in every single case."

That may be true, of course, but, overall the art style looks like what it looks like inside Paris. It's a lot of fun to recreate them. When I was in Italy they showed off the Parisian sculptures I grew up on. Then of course, I went to the United States where I lived. It's funny, as a photographer I never really cared what my country looked like. It was about doing it my way, and I felt like doing things my way, rather than moving my eyes, my personality. And that was true of some, I don't know. I think at the time some of the most famous people in my life did such cool things with their art.

The best part was if you didn't have any idea where the pieces started to turn, you definitely didn't understand where they ended. They didn't end up on any particular site or on the wall. We had so many things happening at
